If you’re a big fan of the Bravo channel, then you have probably seen the show Sweet Home Oklahoma which shows the adventures of three hilarious best friends in Oklahoma City. One of the friends, Jennifer Welch, is not only the star of this hit show, she is also a very well-known interior designer who travels around the US designing high-end homes and offices. We have been lucky enough to be featured in a few of Jennifer’s projects, but this transitional Tulsa kitchen stopped us in our tracks.
This kitchen featured the Duo Pattern our in-stock collection, Artisan Stone Tile. The Duo patterned tile is available in a size 6×12 on Carrara and in two colorways, Nickel (shown above) and Glacier Blue.
Today’s blog post is dedicated to this contemporary and one-of-a-kind kitchen remodel by the talented Jennifer Welch. What we love about this project even more? It was photographed by her talented husband, Josh Welch
We love the Kitchen Island cart idea for this kitchen. Since the kitchen area was a little bit smaller, Jennifer added in this sleek kitchen cart as another surface area.
There’s about a million things we love about this kitchen…one being the combination of the vintage range hood with the modern tile on carrara. Jennifer tactically matched the black and gold range hood with two stunning black and gold lighting pendants. The contrast between the bright white cabinetry and the rich lighting and range is to die for. Most designers will stick with an all white, neutral color scheme in the kitchen, but Jennifer went bold with these subtle yet eye-catching dark colors.
We will end today’s home tour with the master bedroom fireplace. Jennifer used one of our favorite modern designs, Interlude, to border this bedroom fireplace. The Interlude tile is featured in the Taupe colorway on a 12×12 carrara. The modern Interlude pattern is a part of our made-to-order collection and is available on any stone type in any size.
